Global Privacy Control (GPC)

Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a privacy standard designed to simplify the process for users to signal their preference regarding the handling of their personal information online. It allows users to assert their privacy rights automatically through browser settings or browser extensions.

Whenever a visitor arrives to a website and the US opt-out banner is shown, GPC will be read from the user's browser and respected. This means that if GPC is ON, the user will have the "Don't sell my data" switch turned on by default. On the other hand, if GPC is OFF, the "Don't sell my data" switch will be turned off by default as it normally is.

However, the user can still open the notice and change the choices, accepting or rejecting the cookies and tools.

If GPC is changed during navigation, the new setting will kick in once the page is refreshed.
